Description

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran dosen yang dominan dalam pengembangan kemandirian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran di semester VI Mahasiswa Program Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Peneliti menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih mendalam tentang peran dosen dalam mengembangkan kemandirian peserta didik. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester VI Prodi Bahasa Inggris UMB. Ada 30 siswa secara keseluruhan. Peneliti menggunakan angket dan wawancara sebagai instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini. . Angket yang diadopsi dari Alonazi (2017) yang membagi peran dosen dalam lingkungan belajar otonom yaitu; (1) dosen sebagai fasilitator, (2) dosen sebagai konselor, (3) dosen sebagai narasumber, dan (4) dosen sebagai pengelola dan penyelenggara. Ada dua temuan dari penelitian ini: (1) Peran dosen dalam pengembangan kemandirian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran di Semester VI Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu adalah sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing, narasumber, pengelola dan penyelenggara. (2) Peran dosen yang dominan dalam pengembangan kemandirian peserta didik dalam pembelajaran pada Semester VI Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu adalah sebagai pengelola dan penyelenggara.
