Description

One of the areas or areas that is most in the spotlight of child protection is the school environment. The problems raised in this study are forms of violence that occur in students in SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City. Factors causing the occurrence of violence against students in Bengkulu City 7 Middle School, and the efforts made in interfering with violence in students at Bengkulu 7 City Junior High School. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. A qualitative approach as a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or oral words from people or observed behavior. The informants in this study were students and teachers of Bengkulu City 7 Middle School. With this interview you can use the data needed to find answers to the research to be conducted and interview guidelines to be used in the research. To obtain data in this study used several data collection techniques, namely: interviews,
Observation, and documentation. Data analysis is an attempt to find data and organize data to improve researchers' understanding of the case under study and present it as a finding for others. In this study, the study used the Miles and Huberman model to analyze research data. Data obtained from the field in the form of qualitative data and the data is then processed with the Miles and Huberman models as follows: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study revealed forms of violence against students in SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu, namely (tweaking, hitting, pinching, slapping, scolding students in public, calling / shouting in front of students, giving punishment in front of other students, speaking harshly to students, embarrassed students in front of other students, blame unilaterally). Factors causing the occurrence of violence in students are: Community Environmental Factors, Peer Environmental Factors, School Environmental Factors and Family Environmental Factors. Efforts to prevent violence against students in SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu through, apparatus support, parent involvement, strengthening IMTAQ, and providing regular counseling to students.
