Description

Active learning strategy is strategies that invite students to learn actively, students must do more than just listen: They must read, write, discuss, or be engaged in solving problems. The objective of this research is to find out what the active learningstrategy used by students, and what the dominant active learning strategy is used by English students in third semester at Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. In this research was used descriptive qualitative research design, and the instrument of this research was used questionnaire based on Musanovic, (2000) theory. The object of this study was 56 students at the third semester of English education study program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The researcher found there are three types of active learning strategies used by the third semester in learning process Students –Teacher Relationship, Use of Numerous Sources of Information, Activity Based Curriculum (Classroom Activities).
