Description
The high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) is still a serious problem in the State of Indonesia. Therefore, the government through the Ministry of Health launched an integrated antenatal program which is believed to be able to reduce AKI and IMR in Indonesia . In 2016 coverage of K1 at Tungkal Public Health Center was 94%, while K4 coverage was 86%. The condition still has not reached the national target of 95%, and is still far from the Tungkal Health Center targeting the coverage of K1 and K4 by 100%. This study aims to find out how the implementation of integrated antenatal program at Tungkal Public Health Center.
This type of research is qualitative research. Place of research is Tungkal Public Health Center. The study was conducted for approximately one month that is in January 2018. The main informants in the study were 3 midwives and 5 pregnant women, while the informant was the Head of Public Health Center and person in charge of maternal and child health program.
The results showed that from 5 types of services available in the integrated antenatal care program, only 2 types of services have been implemented according to the standard that is physical examination and follow-up cases, while the 3 types of services that is anamnesa, recording of examination results, and KIE has not been implemented in accordance with the regulation of health minister No. 97 of 2014. The coverage of K1 and K4 services at Tungkal Public Health Center in 2017 amounted to 96% and 94%, although not yet in accordance with the Tungkal Health Center target but the figure is well above the national average.
