Description
This study aims to find out and describe Language Functions Used By Lecturers in Teaching Receptive Skills at English Education Program of UMB. This research will use a descriptive method. The objective of the research is to find out and describe Language Functions Used By Lecturers in Teaching Receptive Skills at English Education Program of UMB. In the research, researcher using Penkrun, R.,Goetz, T., & Perry, R.P.(2005) theory. Based on result, the research it was found varieties of language functions used by lecturers in teaching receptive skills at English Education Program of UMB. The conclusion of language functions used by lecturers are strongly often and very often in expressive and directive criteria because the lecturers used that words easy and can understand to students in teaching classroom.
