Description
Purpose of this course determined the ability of manner speaking for debate among fourth semester English students of the Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu, English Study Program. The results of this study were students is fair criteria with a percentage of 24%. This research used a descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 48 students A, B, fourth semester who attended the course as debate speakers at the English Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. Researchers used observation tests and interviews as research instruments. The result of this study showed that the manner ability of the students was in fair category, Researcher suggested to English students, by knowing the causes of the fair category manner speaking for debate, students could find ways to overcome these causes. This is also related to the importance of manner speaking for speech skills to students, which is an important part of the speech process.
