Description

Persepsi diri siswa dalam menulis dapat bermanfaat untuk mengetahui
bagaimana perasaan dan perspektif siswa saat menulis bahasa Inggris. Tujuan
dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Persepsi Diri siswa bahasa Inggris
dalam penulisan bahasa Inggris di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris
Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Desain penelitian ini adalah metode
deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah semua mahasiswa Bahasa Inggris di
semester tujuh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas
Muhammadiyah Bengkulu, pada tahun akademik 2019/2020 dengan jumlah
responden 72 siswa. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah kuesioner. Temuan
penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 66,11% siswa merespon positif selfconcept, kemudian ada 62,50% siswa yang juga menjawab positif untuk selfesteem. Selain itu, ada 58,06% siswa yang merespon positif untuk selfconsciousness, dan ada 55,56% siswa yang merespon positif untuk selfawareness. Kesimpulannya, Persepsi Diri siswa bahasa Inggris dalam menulis
bahasa Inggris di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas
Muhammadiyah Bengkulu adalah positif 61,80%.
