Description
A Hospital as an integral part of a social and health organization with the function of providing health services must have disaster emergency response planning, one of which is in the pre-earthquake planning. Pre-disaster stages include preparedness, early warning and disaster mitigation. This study aims to determine how readiness of hospital in earthquake pre-disaster planning.
This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The informants in this study were the head of DVI and 5 (five) emergency response members of Bhayangkara Hospital of Bengkulu.
Based on the results of observations and interviews conducted at the Bhayangkara emergency Hospital Bengkulu is known that hospital already have disaster emergency response team (DVI team) who are ready to disseminate disaster warning information, and have received training and education in the form of socialization to emergency response simulations disaster. The hospital evacuation location already exists, but the signs for the evacuation route and the disaster warning alarm are not yet installed and early warning tools have not been organized and tested, although according to the DVI team the hospital said that the equipment had been installed but was released again due to on-going hospital construction. So it can be concluded that the hospital has carried out a pre-earthquake planning, but it is still necessary to complete the direction signs for the evacuation route, the disaster warning alarm to organize the installation and testing.
