Description

The purpose of this study was to know students' errors in pronouncing dental fricative sounds. This research was designed as descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research were the fourth semester of English Education study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The instrumentof the research isaudacity technology.The results of the study were students’had errors in pronouncing Dental fricative sounds[θ]and [ð]. They tend to replace Dental fricative sounds[θ]to /s/and /t/.And They tend to replace Dental fricative sound [ð]to /d/ and /z/.Based on the resultabove, the researcher suggests the students’ should practice pronouncing the dental fricative sounds [θ]and [ð] . And the lecturer who teach pronounciation, they must design how te students’ a lot of words with dental fricative[θ]and [ð].
