Description
The objective of this research wasto find out the portray of literature review section written by English students in their theses at English Education Program of University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulubased on Haiso and Yu (2012). The design of this study wasdescriptive method.Theobjectof this study is the Thesis that were written by students of English study program of MuhammadiyahBengkulu who graduated on October 2019. There are 47 theses as the object of this research since there were three thesis which have not existed in the English Study Program office. Since this research isa descriptive study, the researcher used table of checklist to analyzethe literature review section written by English students in their theses at English Education Program of UMB based on Haiso and Yu (2012). The researcher can conclude that the portray of Literature Review section written by English students in their theses at English Education Program of University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulubased on Haiso and Yu (2012)consists of Move 1 (Conceptualizing Themes in a Field), Move 2 (Integrating Previous Studies on the Themes), Move 3 (Relating previous studies to the current study), and Move 4 (Advancing to Personal Research). The portray of Literature Review section was not completed since the criterian was optional.
