Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis dari speech disfluenciesyang terjadi dalam berbicara bahasa inggris, mengetahui tipe dominanyang terjadi dan untuk mengetahui penyebab terjadinya speech disfluenciesdalam berbicara bahasa inggris pada siswa bahasa inggris diProgram studi bahasa inggris Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Data dikumpulkan melalui spoken test dan interview lalu di analisis menggunakan persentasi berdasarkanteori. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa siswa bahasa inggris melakukanketujuh tipe speech disfluenciesdengan tipe yang dominanyaitu filled pause(66,10%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,penyebab speech disfluenciestersebut terjadi dikarenakan “siswa memiliki kosa kata yang kurang”. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, peneliti memberikan saran kepada dosen matakuliah speaking untuk lebih memfokuskan pemerolehan kosa-kata terlebih dahulu sebelum mengajarkan materi speaking kepada siswa dan untuk siswa penulis memberikan saran agar lebih sering melakukan latihan berbicara bahasa inggris ketika sedang berada diluar kelas.
