DERIVATIONAL AFFIXES IN YOUTUBE VIDEO VSAUCE

Description

This research mainly describes the morphology roles in the video of YouTube channel
Vsauce. The objectives of this research were: 1) to find out the most frequently kind of
derivational affixes found in YouTube video Vsauce; 2) to investigate the process of
derivational affixes found in YouTube video Vsauce. The object of this research was the
video of YouTube channel Vsauce and its transcript. The research design of this research
used descriptive qualitative method. The instruments that have been used were table of
analysis data and rubric of derivational affixes. The results of this research; a) the most
frequently kind of derivational affixes found in YouTube video Vsauce is adjective to adverb
with 69 occurrances; b) the researcher found process of derivational affixes found in
YouTube video Vsauce were prefix and suffix. The appearance prefix were en- and in-.
Meanwhile, in suffix category, those appearance suffix were -ous, -er, -ion, -ance, -ly, -ness, -
ive, -able, -ize, -ity, -ic, and -ful
