Description

The objectives of this researchwere to knowthe useof speech transitions type in speaking for speech class. In this study was used descriptive qualitativeresearchdesign. The instruments of the research were table checklist and video recorder. The subject of this study was 49 students in speaking for speech class. The researcher found there were 106 frequency of speech transitions consisted of 22 frequencies in sentence connector, 82 frequencies in clause connector, and 2 frequencies in other connector. So, the researcher found in the first speech transition as sentence connector the most dominant used by English students was for example, The second, in speech transition as clause connector the most dominant used by English students was and, The third, in speech transition as other connector the most dominant used by English students was such as. Then, the dominant clause was clause connector “and”.After completing this research, the researcher suggests forthe students to use complete speech transitions types
